Submissions wanted for Imprints
Has the Pandemic brought out your creative side or given you more chances to indulge your artistic tendencies? The CF Literature and Arts magazines would like to hear from you! Every year, CF publishes two magazines that showcase literature and art from CF students, Imprints and In The Write Mind. If you write poems or short stories, if you draw or paint or take photos or anything of the sort, then we want to see it.
My name is Zackery Cote, and I am an English Instructor here at CF. I’m also the Faculty Advisor for Imprints, the magazine for the Ocala campus. If you’d like the chance to show off your literature or art, please visit our website at www.cf.edu/imprints. There you can submit your work for a chance to be published in the magazine.
Of course, having work to publish is only part of the process. The Staff at Imprints also designs the magazine to be published, and there’s more to that than you might think! If you’ve ever wondered how magazines are made, please email me at [email protected] to learn more about joining the Staff. You could help us create the magazine with input on things like:
- Which submissions should be published?
- How should each page be laid out?
- What color scheme and theme should we design around?
- How large should the magazine be?
There are so many things that go into magazine creation, so if you want to make something unique and amazing, let us know! We especially want to hear from you if you have experience with InDesign, Photoshop, and other digital editing software.
