Earlier this year, the MSC cruise line welcomed its newest ship, the “MSC World America,” to its fleet.
This ship is both beautiful and massive, with plenty to take in. Throughout the ship, there are multiple lounges, an arcade, spa and a casino. The World Galleria is the main mall-like area with a variety of stores to peruse. And you can’t miss it – on the ceiling, large LED screens display ocean scenery. Depending on when you catch it, you may be able to spot some unique sea creatures. On the upper decks, you can find pools, hot tubs, a gym and multiple buffets.

Daytime Activities
For the kids – or kids at heart – all the fun you could want is on the top deck, which is home to a rope course, bumper cars and a huge slide spanning 11 decks. But the star of the show is the popular new “Cliffhanger” attraction – a swing that lifts off the boat and swings guests over the water. These attractions have a small cost per ride, or you can opt for the Fun Pass, which provides ride credits at a discount.

During the day, there were a variety of onboard activities for ship guests to explore: bingo, arts and crafts, trivia, karaoke and more. There truly is something for everybody. Want to test your knowledge of songs from different decades? Try Guess the Song. Feeling up to learn a new style of dance? There are lessons in everything from salsa to bachata. Traveling solo and want to make new friends? There are also solo traveler meet-ups throughout the week, offering opportunities for new connections and friendships.
Ocean Cay
Next let’s talk about MSC Cruises’ private island, Ocean Cay. This private island was truly stunning, with sidewalks leading from the port to the beaches and colorful buildings lining the streets.

Beaches are free to enter, with chairs and tents available to rent. With so much to do and see, you can swim, take pictures of the scenery or simply explore.
Nightlife
Nightlife is another major aspect of cruising – and it truly can make or break the experience. One thing MSC does well? Themed nights. This includes Tropical Night, White Night, Gala Night and ‘60s, ‘70s, ‘80s Night. And what do MSC guests anticipate most? White Night. It is a massive party where everyone dresses in their best white outfits and dances the night away.
Some of the standout nighttime events included a comedy show, the “Momentous” magic show, “Dirty Dancing in Concert” and the fan-favorite silent disco.

Food
When it comes to determining where to book your next vacation, it is understandable that food plays a major role. Luckily, the World America did not disappoint. There were delicious options for even the pickiest of eaters.
Some of their specialty dining offerings included Mexican, sushi, hibachi and Italian. But a standout spot was Jean Philippe Chocolat & Café. Here you can make your own chocolate bar, buy some gelato or indulge in a crepe. Another plus: it was affordable, with cups of gelato and sorbet at less than $10.
There were also plenty of complimentary food locations throughout the ship. Take Luna Park Pizza & Burger, for example. This complimentary spot, located in the World Galleria, offered pizza, chicken tenders, burgers and a variety of small desserts. The best part? It’s open until late – perfect for any late-night cravings.

Overall
With affordable options to fit any budget, The “MSC World America” may just be the perfect choice for your next vacation. There are unforgettable experiences, jaw-dropping performances and food made to satisfy every palate.
