INVERNESS, Fla. (May 17, 2025) – Early Saturday morning, Citrus County locals took to the Depot Pavilion in Inverness for the bi-monthly market at the Depot event, taking place every first and third Saturday of the month.

This free-to-visit event is home to vendors selling a variety of crafted items such as jewelry, candles and crochet items. Also available to browse were plants, soaps and dog treats. For food lovers, there’s an assortment of homemade goods like cookies, breads, honey and popcorn. With so much to see and taste, it’s unlikely to leave empty handed.
The pavilion buzzed with excitement as adults and kids alike gathered to shop, eat and talk. The passion, creativity and sense of community were evident in every smile and warm conversation.

As visitors ventured out from underneath the pavilion into the warmth of the sun, they were greeted by a vast array of colorful tents. With the smell of fresh lemonade in the air, more booths to browse, and small businesses highlighted at every corner, there was plenty to explore.
Vendor Tricia Fenili, owner of Crazy Daisy Designs, has been selling her custom wreaths and tomato cage trees at the market since 2023. She shared her love for the market at the Depot event.
“My favorite part of selling at the market has been meeting all the amazing customers,” Fenili said. “I have some incredible repeat customers. Even if they are not in the market to buy anything from me, they will stop by and say “Hi” and chit chat for a little bit.”

If you’re looking to find unique pieces, connect with community members and support the city of Inverness, the market may be just the spot for you. For more information on the event or becoming a vendor, visit the City of Inverness website.
