On Monday Aug. 21, the entire contiguous U.S. experienced the first solar eclipse since 1979. The Marion County Public Library set up bleachers in the parking lot for people to sit and get a clear view of the solar eclipse. The library also held a live-stream viewing event inside the library for those who missed out on getting glasses for the eclipse.
The Marion County Public Library taped off a section of the parking lot for people who wanted to get a good view of the solar eclipse on Monday.
