The Student Activity Board (SAB) and Student Life hosted “Faith-A-Palooza” on March 20 at the CF Ocala campus in the Bedford Plaza. The purpose of the event was to familiarize students with different religions and give them an opportunity to communicate with guest speakers representing a variety of faiths.
Students had the opportunity talk to several religious groups of interest. Different representatives spoke about their missions concerning their churches.
“We believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God and the savior of the world,” representatives of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints shared with students about their faith “He loves people more than they can imagine. We consider ourselves loyal followers of Jesus.”
Students had the opportunity to pick up free booklets and books on religion, such as The Book of Mormon, as well as business cards handed out by church representatives.
The event organizers provided free pizza, sweets and drinks for those who attended.
The next event that Student Life will be holding is the “Pot A Plant”, which will take place at the Bedford Plaza on April 10 from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
