The College of Central Florida Ocala campus strives for student success. In order to achieve this goal, CF offers a variety of ways to help students continue in their pursuit of education.
One of these ways is the food pantry here on Campus. Many students are unaware of the presence of the food pantry at CF Ocala campus but it’s here to help!
It offers students in need accessible food and hygiene products as well as to-go bags. This is so that they may be able to continue their education in comfort without jeopardization due to a lack of necessities.
The food pantry, however, also takes donations from anyone with food and hygiene products to spare.
“Students can just bring [donations] to the front desk,” said Jackson Johns, a new employee in the Stearns Learning Resource center. “Canned food items as well as anything non-perishable that can last a long time and has a shelf life of over a month.”
Even the Student Activities Board has gotten involved in the growth of the food pantry by holding the International Food Festival every year where students are able to donate.
The food pantry is located in the Stearns Learning Resource center in building three. Upon asking the front desk, students will be guided to the pantry.
Although the pantry is accessible to all students, everyone is limited to getting supplies three times per week. However, if a student needs more necessities, the front desk employees can give you other resources for students to get what they need.

Is the pantry only limited to current students, by that I mean students currently taking classes? Are students that a taking a gap semester not allowed to visit the pantry?

All registered CF students are allowed to visit the food pantry.

I knew we had a food pantry, but I didn’t know exactly where it was. This is great!
By the way, we also have a Clothes Closet that might benefit from a write-up as well =D
