As the holiday season approaches, the glamourous World Equestrian Center (WEC) kick-starts its third year of Winter Wonderland, a festive and immersive experience that will spark mesmerizing magic for all.
Winter Wonderland runs from Nov. 24 to Dec. 23, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. There is a $10 parking fee per vehicle Mondays through Thursdays and a $30 parking fee Fridays through Sundays, applicable from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.
To kick-start the Christmas cheer, the World Equestrian Center’s Grand Plaza will be decked out in over one million lights, a 43-foot walk-through Christmas tree, a charming lighted carriage and plenty of splendid holiday decorations. The season will feature performers, face painters, balloon artists and caricaturists to put you in the Christmas spirit, and the kiddos can also get the chance to meet Santa before he embarks on his yearly trek around the world.
Speaking of Santa, families can join him on the terrace of The Equestrian Hotel on Dec. 2, 9, 16, 17 and 23 for a jolly breakfast filled with French toast and buttermilk pancakes, as well as story time with Father Christmas himself.
Other not-to-miss events include an Ugly Sweater Contest at Yellow Pony Pub & Garden on Thursday evenings and the Tinsel Trot 5k run on Dec. 2 starting at 7 p.m., where you can race in your brightest holiday swag.
